Retrospective Cohort Analysis: Treatments for COVID-19
This is a retrospective study to evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of treatments for Covid-19 hospitalised patients and to determine prognostic factors in Spain.
This retrospective study using existing data collected in hospitals in Spain will provide reliable evidence on the effectiveness and safety of treatments to reduce morbidity and mortality in hospitalised patients with confirmed Covid-19, which have been used in routine clinical practice in Spain.
As results are likely to appear well ahead of robust results from ongoing trials, the study will have an immediate effect on clinical practice and influence data monitoring committees of trials2.
